Microchip hereby requests interested candidates for the position of 4 X PSIRA Grade C Security Officers with valid Driver License and PDP at Sishen Mine to submit their CV and documentation.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 11
• PSIRA Certification Grade C
• Relevant experience in a similar position advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Valid Driver’s license with PDP
• Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record
Successful applicants will be required to pass a MHSA Medical Examination Shortlisted applicants will receive an RFQ containing a formal scope and contract terms and conditions which will be applicable to any resultant contract
Key Responsibilities
The Security Officer secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and control access points entrance & egress.
Major Responsibilities
Protect employees of the customer, visitors, buildings, & Movable Assets
Conduct regular patrolling of propertyMonitor surveillance equipmentInspect the plant, buildings & movable equipmentcontrol access points; permitting entrance & egress
Use sounding alarms and other related devices to mobilise for assistance when it is essential
Report irregularities inform violators of policy and procedures & restraining trespassers
Control traffic by directing driversComplete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures
Ensure that the equipment under own use is in a working condition through preventative maintenance
Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors and the premises
Provide excellent customer service
Adhere to all company service and operating standards
Remain in compliance with local, provincial and national government regulations
Respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers
Protect the company’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issuesFollow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control and accident investigations
