REST IN PEACE: Mother of Four Found Beaten to Death By Boyfriend After Brutal Attack💔🕊️
Mmaswai Sekobolo (45), a mother of four from Thabana Tshwana village in QwaQwa, Free State, was brutally murdered, allegedly by her boyfriend.
Her body was found dumped outside Turffontein Village on Sunday, 28 June 2026.She was last seen with her boyfriend the day before her body was discovered. Family members, including her sister Matshediso Sekobolo-Nthoba, reported that her body showed bruises all over, suggesting she was violently assaulted with a blunt/hard object before her death.
There were no visible open wounds.The family knew she was in a toxic/abusive relationship and had seen signs (e.g., she once had a black eye, which she downplayed).
She often denied the abuse when asked.The community and family were shocked because the couple did not appear to have obvious problems publicly.Police registered a murder case at Tsheseng police station. As of early July, no arrest had not yet, and the family was urgently calling for the suspect’s arrest to get answers about the motive.She was laid to rest on Saturday, 11 July 2026, at her home in Thabana Tshwana village, QwaQwa.
Family, friends, and community members attended the heartbreaking service.Her family is devastated, especially as she leaves behind four children (including a 6-year-old and one in matric).
